Frequently Asked Questions
How does ordering a commission work?
Upon checking out, you will receive an auto-reply email from my shop with confirmation of your order. I will email you within 24 hours of your order to discuss your custom piece of artwork and ask for reference photos. Once I’m finished with your artwork, I will send you a watermarked preview file and ask if you’d like changes before I send over your final file. I will make any requested changes, and then send you your final unwatermarked file. Bada bing bada boom!
How long will it be before I have my custom artwork?
From the time you order, it will take up to three weeks, unless otherwise specified in a special project. If you need a commission done faster, head to my contact page and send me a message. I will do my best to accommodate you!
I would like a commission from you, but my vision is different than what is available in your shop. What do I do?
Go to my Contact page! I love to hear about new projects and visions I may be able to bring to life!
Do you print the artwork and mail it to me?
No. For right now, I am happy to provide the high quality file of your artwork for you to have printed as you see fit. Offering all the different printing options (matte or glossy paper, canvas, different sizes) is just too many variables for me at this time. Please let me know if you would be interested, and I may see if it is possible in the future.
Do you have any printing options that you recommend?
Yes! I would recommend searching for a local print shop that does photo printing (supporting local businesses, yay!).
Otherwise, places like:
Staples - https://www.staples.com/services/printing/posters/
and Amazon - www.amazon.com/s?k=custom+photo+canvas&crid=J14MARQDBTZG&sprefix=custom+photo+%2Caps%2C148&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_2_13
have affordable prices for printing on paper and canvas.
Do you have a recommendation between a matte, glossy, or canvas print?
I prefer to get most of my work printed on matte card stock. It looks nice and velvety, but the colors are toned down a bit. So, if you would like the bright colors of your piece to really pop, I would recommend a glossy print. If you got a digital portrait made in a painterly style, a canvas print would look especially nice.
